About EES

The Evry Schatzman Schools, held annually since 1989 (see https://www.pnps.cnrs.fr/ees.html)  were initiated by Evry Schatzman and Annie Baglin.

Since 2000, the annual theme has been selected by the PNPS Scientific Commitee, based on proposals from the PNPS community.

Starting from the 2009 edition, the PNPS Scientific Committee decided to rename the school the Evry Schatzman School in honor of its founder. Evry Schatzman is known as the father of modern French astrophysics (More on Wikipedia).

The school typically gathers between 35 and 50 participants, ranging from early-career researchers to established scientists.
